Racing can't be over already can it?.....no snow here yet but I think we'll call it a year. We made good progress this year; 2nd full season with the car. Last event was our best ever et/mph/60ft - 15.30 @ 86mph, 2.02 60ft. Finished tied for 8th in our Stock/Super Stock combo series;(out of 24 entries). We're very close to the IHRA V/SA National Record of 15.27 @ 85.04 and the Maverick still weighs 100lb more than the class requirement. Next year we will be mean & lean as well as having a 2.75 1st gear in the C4. On a good air day, a 14 second pass should be in the cards. i've got another race this saturday, then dec 2, and dec 16th. next years racing series starts on january 13th. think i'm gonna run the mustang in december as i want to freshen up the motor in the mav. 3 years on it now and only problems were 2 rocker arm studs and 2 lifters broke. i need to try and defend the sportsman title at the track in tucson. this was the second year in a row for me. got my trophy, jacket, and gold card at the banquet last night. good luck next season on getting the record.
