    1973 w/ LDO and those bucket seats that bring back fond memories when I was about 19 years old back in '74
    Unless you're trying to save on weight, you should be able to get good metal from a number of members here or through some of the web-based ford parts "recyclers" for close to the same price. OEM is always good.

    I have doubts that glass fenders that would be made durable for daily driver use would even save any weight. The factory steel fenders are really light.... so ... a second vote for steel.

    I know you are out in the boonies and are having a tough time getting parts.

    If the shipping won't be a killer, I have seen two set of fenders advertised here in FL lately. One set was $50. Shipping to Canada .... probably a bunch more than that ... :rolleyes:

    I have had decent luck with shipping via Greyhound bus lines ... roughly half of what others would have charged on large items. Once you go over certain sizes (I think 6 foot) the prices really spike. I think that those items no longer fit in some of UPS/mail containers. The only thing about shipping by bus is that items tend to wait until there is space in the luggage compartments, and then you have to pick them up at the bus terminal.
