...and is there hose big enough to run to it? I have seen some, but I think they were regular hoses with a slide-on sleeve over it to make it look AN... Also, is there a way to go from slip-on nipple (like on my trans cooler) to AN so I can run braided line to the trans?
Smaller?? sometimes they don't look..?? uh...??? I guess it depends on the foundation on which they are setting.
Trans coolers are available with AN fittings instead of the slip-on hose ends. Sucks to buy new, but would be easier and cheaper than learning how to weld. Not sure about radiator hoses, but it wouldn't make sense unless you would also do it at the water pump. Is there a pump you wanted to use that is AN? Rocco
Radiator: have a radiator shop weld the AN fittings to your tanks. The hose nipple will have to come off in order for them to do this. There are thermostat housing adapters that will bolt onto the manifold and are equipped with a larg AN male fitting. I believe I have seen a -20 size somewhere before. Trans cooler: B & M Supercooler and use NPT to AN adapter fittings. Simple.
Trans cooler sounds like a go, radiator not so much so. I was afraid that was the only way to go. I do need to get rid of the 3/8" fuel line with the metal trans cooler lines shoved 6" into them with 2 hose clamps, that is ugly, dangerous, and just plain wrong. My go ahead and get a bigger trans cooler while I am at it...
I've got a brand new B&M Supercooler with #6 AN fittings already installed I'll let go pretty cheap. $50.....bring cash. Can take it to work with me if you can come into town.
