Is there a way to search for members geographically?

I am in Seattle, came over on business and was wondering how to find who all on here is in the Seattle area.

 

Yes there is. Click on the Members List tab at the top of the page, then click the search members tab, then a search box will drop down under the search box is another tab that says advanced search select that, then type in the location you wish to find members in.

I never knew you could search members like that. 51 members in Iowa!

I would have guessed about 1/4 of that.

 

Make sure you look up "Mercurycruisers"...he is the State Rep and has an impressive Mav & Comet collection! Coop and his wife, Kathy, are about the the nicest people you can meet!

 

There was a sticky post for a while in which the board was tied to an outside site, similar to Mapquest, that everyone on the site was supposed to (optional) post their locations.
I did mine, as about 50-100 others.
It brought up a satellite map and had numbered pins posted where every member was.
You could click on the pins or use the number to define who was at that location.

Just like Mapquest, you could zoom in and out too, down to the street level.
