As some of you may know I have a tr7 with a 351w. I have been wanting to sell it and priced it at $1000 to a local guy. He is interested but made me an offer I don't think I can refuse. He does body work on the side and does good work. He offered to do the body work on my maverick and paint it for the tr7. He will furnish the paint and will paint all under the hood and door jambs. I believe I am going to trade but wanted to get everyones opinions

my advice is that if you end up trading, you tell him your making a website for the cars restoration so you can take pics of the prep work and make sure he uses quality paint materials. a good quality paint job with jambs and all is easily over a couple grand. ill end up spending about $1000 just on materials on my two stage job counting everything from etch primer to the clear. just make sure your not getting some junk that will need to be resprayed in a few years.

Get him to do the work first, once he gets the car and title, he may loose interest.
