Is this the right speedo cable?

Is this the right speedo cable for our cars? Mine has the tranny end cut off so I don't know for sure what that end should look like. Looks like it's missing the gear to me....link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...viewitem=&item=110076663223&_trksid=p3907.m32

 

Looks correct to me,, you will have to find the gear for the trans end of it.

Thanks Dan. I may go ahead and try to get one of those. Any idea on where to pick up a gear? Does Ford still sell them new or am I looking at finding a used one? I need one for a 3.00 rear end [2.79 right now, plan on changing chunk out next summer].

Most tranny shops can hook you up with the proper gear as long as you give them the tire size and trans and rear-end ratio. Some1 posted this year a chart that gave all the gear combos needed with the number of teeth per gear. Can't remember just exactly where it was posted. Hope this helps Ron
