1974 Four Door Maverick with a 250 straight six(Now in that big junk yard in the sky), Currently a 1976 Mav with a I6 250 soon to have a 2bbl carb and dual exhaust, ooo yeah
Well guys, I finshed stuffing my I6 in my 4dr 74 baby bomber. And well, it happened kinda funny. I was looking on Craigslist for a ranchero that I can drop my now rebuilt and bored over I6 200, and I saw this picture of a baby blue 2 dr maverick sitting in a towyard, so I go out there and take a look at it, well I pretended to be looking for another car, but I saw it... the body was straight, no rust ANYWHERE, and engine is a 250 with a C-4 bolted the back, it looked like the 250 may have gone through a recent rebuild, so I decided that she was mine... and except for the $900 price tag, she was mine already. SO... I talked him down, I used the 'poor college student', 'I dont know how long it will run, I dont even know what it is'. They didnt know either. So I talked him down to $500 and drove it home, she runs like a bat out of hell and is amazing.... she needs a couple things like a rearview mirror, but beynd that its all there.... I am absolutely amamzed.... pics to come soon

    Hell yeah!
    The cheaper the better!
I paid $600 for my Comet and so far the most expensive thing I've done to it was the two front tires($30 for both).

When you get a car as cheap as you got yours(way jealous by the way!) you'll notice that even a C note seems expensive to spend on it. I can't wait to see the pictures.

Cool deal, love it when you find a good score and then are able to talk them down. I am close,Tillamook and have some parts if you need them, but then it sounds like you do good on your own. :Handshake
