So I just bought a 76 maverick and hour the marti report back and it's a stallion. My concern is I don't really want one, I want an older grabber. I have all the bumper/hood posts to make it look like a grabber but am I wasting a good car someone might want? Is there a market for stallions and what could I get out of it? If someone wanted it and it was worth something I would rather sell it and buy a grabber 71-73.
They are on par with grabbers price wise you could prolly trade even steven for like condition cars. Personally i do not see the big deal it is after all just a sticker package one way or another.....but that is my opinion only:Handshake
Dan Starnes has a stallion the same colors and converted to the small bumpers and grabber hooh and tail spoiler and it looks great. if the body is in good condition and you are going to build the car to be yours I would keep it and build on.
sweet so it ended up being a stallion that is awsome. i do agree that you can do what ever you want to the car. a small buper stallion is cool. i can't wait to see the car in person.
Yeah I wondered if it was a stallion, and honestly I think Dan has one of the best looking cars on the forum and the really nice part is with a stallion all the stuff like disk brakes come factory where the early grabbers would require a conversion.
Only YOU can decide what you want. Being a real Stallion won't necessarily mean it is worth more money. If so many mods have been done to the car (different/wrong interior, etc), then it just happens to be a car that was formerlly a Stallion.
Great advice everyone. I wasn't sure about value and didn't want to change a bunch of stuff if it was worth more as is. But if they are even in value I will keep it and build it just as I would have if it was just a 2 door. I'll throw the grabber parts on it and enjoy it for what it is. Thanks everyone.
its your car fix it up the way you want its not a super cobra jet Mustang or anything thats worth a ton of money Hot rod it you will be glad you did
