This morning, starting at 6:00 AM, John applied the black sealer and applied three base coats and three clear coats. Starting on about Wednesday evening (he works at Ford during the day), he'll wet sand and buff the paint to perfection. Next week, I'll put the Cragars on there and see how it looks. It is 2006 Ford Color called Merlot Pearl Clearcoat. You can see the 2006 codes and color here. http://www.cardata.com/spoilers/Car...paint_codes.htm There will no trim on the exterior except hood lip and the trim around the windshield and back glass. Aside from that trim, the door handles, and the chrome bumpers, the only bling on the car will be the very shiney Cragar SS wheels.
I love that color! That is going to look sharp, Terry. Can't wait to see it after it's all buffed and put back together.
Man, it's looking awesome! Wish I could have made it down there today. I'm surprised no one is asking about that top secret thing yet...
Looks great Terry! Will look awesome when all together ... You did spill the beans in one of the photos ....
Tell the wife the color was chosen by my wife and oldest daughter. The painter suggested using the black sealer to deepen the effect.
