my name is Jon and I'm from pinole, CA. tomorrow (9/18/2013) I'm going to purchase a running '75 maverick coupe with an I-6 and an auto. it's only 500 bucks and so far this is all it needs:
    -windshield
    -battery
    -gas

I plan on making it a budget based daily, and down the round make it a v8 stick. also I'd like to convert to small bumpers.

here is a better photo of the car.

did the body shape change at all between '70-'75? the '75s look more square or is it maybe the bumpers give off the square vibe?

    welcome
to aqnswer your question the bumpers grew after 72 to what you have.
$500 looks like a really good deal. as long as the car isnt rusty. pour some water down teh cowl vent in front of the windshield and check the inside floor boards for leaks. if o leaks youre golden grab it. if it leaks theres alot of work to be done but still a decent price as long as its current on the registration or on a non op with dmv

I got the '74 maverick home, the starter isn't turning when I turn the key. so the seller started it by tapping wires to the starter solenoid which is also bad. help please?

Probably is the ignition switch. That's what it was for me
