Sitting here waiting patiently for my first Maverick to get here.Have to wait a couple weeks though. Not to offend anyone but my passion was always old Mopars. My brother however has shown me the error of my ways and introduced me to the wonderful world of Maverick. Our dad owned a Grabber when we were kids (orange and white) and I always thought it was cool.A little about me, 38, married, 3 kids and I love the smell of racing fuel and burning tires!!!!!!Anything classic anything fast!! I'm looking forward to restoring the Maverick and learning my way around a Ford. I will definitley need leads on drivetrain parts (upgrading from a 6 to an 8). Well, enough about me.Again, Hi! and looking forward to this new experience. Darrel
Darrel welcome to our corner of the net...You just found a great place , good people, lots of info for your maverick, parts, hey this site rocks...Jim
Good to have ya man! Do a search for anything and I'm sure you will find a lot of info. Feel free to ask a question also. Like Ford_Motorheads said, we like pics. No matter what it looks like. In other words. Pics when you get it, then as it goes along.
Darrel, Welcome to our Maverick world, a cool place to be! There are a lot of very helpful people here that are more than willing to lend a hand. Enjoy your Maverick and post some pics soon! Art
Thanks guys!! Wow,never had a welcome party like this on other boards. You guys are alright. The Maverick I'm getting is a 69 1/2 with an inline 6. Sorry to all you guys who like "original" stuff but this one is definitly gonna be a 302!!! I would actually like to stuff a 351 in but my brother tells me this is awkward and hard to change the plugs. Whatever !!! The front end is coming off the ground!!!! (I hope).Welp, gotta run, son has a football banquet tonight.Just wanted to say thanks for all the responses to a new member! I was really surprised. Darrel
