    Lost a couple in St. Louis as well. Funny how something can be around for so long. They come in and build around it then complain about noise. Just like building along a highway.

    There are quite a few drag strips in the "Good Ole US of A" that are faced with closing their doors in next few years.
    One strip, the oldest continueously run NHRA drag strip in the USA, Redding, CA; will have its lease run out within the next 18 months, and it will not be renew'd because of the Redding City Council. They want to improve their airport and extend the existing run way to bring in bigger planes....................plus the operator of the strip just hasn't been able to pull the cars nor the people to make it pay for its self any longer. A real shame!
