for 1250 bucks you can buy a maverick ;) anything can be done. however i have seen though kits on newer cars... i have seen them bend! i can tell you right now.... newer car doors are alot light then a maverick doors

They would definitely be a novelty - maybe good for shows but I doubt they're any good for everyday use. I can think of a lot of better uses for $1250.

if you want to do it, go for it.... you will be the first....

but if you do it, i would make sure you reinforce the doors and pivot points...

if people didnt come up with new ideas, we would still be in wagons

I was at a car show a few weeks ago in East Peoria IL. There was a later model stang there with those doors. Looked hideous, It was parked right behind me. The sound system in the car was worth more than my house. I just watched the chick clean the car in a skimpy outfit the entire day. That looked great. She had her bf with her and she would tell him to detail something, then when he was done she would complain on how bad he did it and then redid it herself. I am telling you it was better than any sitcom on tv. She actually removed all the rubber weatherstripping on the car, I have never seen anyone go to that kind of detail at a freakin car show.
