well they say no news is good news. so i guess i do have some news. fought the tuning gremlins most of the week. ran a 13.21 and 13.13 on thursday. dialed a 13.11 later in the evening and dropped to a 13.32. went out the first round of the gambler race. oh well, guess that was a $50 time run. winner was pitted next to me. it paid $8,500 to win. had 339 cars in it. anyway, i bumped up the jetting. fridays t&t ran a 13.06 and 13.09. getting closer. saturday ran a 13.16. sunday moorning first round of eliminations was pretty windy. was going to dial a 13.19 but figured with my luck the wind would die down and i'd break out. so i put a 13.17 on and figured i knew what the left foot was for. my 60 foot times have always been slow. all week they were 1.83-1.84. well first round i red lit by .036 and my 60 ft. time was a 1.79. my last 2 lights before that were .018 and .032. that tracked just really hooked on me. also i ran the 13.19 i was going to put on. i was bummed out but i had a great time there. there were 8 mavs-comets there. a comet took the sportsman race of champions. also met erick-mav and 73'goose. badmav7086 and matt bong were there also. i think there were over 250 cars in the sportsman class. and about 850 cars there all together.
Thanks for the update Don. Was wondering how all went. It's good news! Experience, friends, smelling exhaust just can't be beat! Can't wait till we meet!
