went to firebird for the last points race of the year last night. after a disappointing year there i finished on a positive note. went to the finals where i lost to this years sportsman champion. had a lousy light and a slight stumble at the starting line. i had to play catch up. dialed a 12.04 and ran an 11.99. in the semis i had to run the guy that's in the points lead at speedworld. during the last pass i noticed some fluid on the windshield. thought i may still have some water after trying to cool the car down in the pits. after getting my time slip and driving toward my pit the radiator hose burst off. steam all over the place. guess i now no why the car was running a little warm all night. oh well, glad it waited until the to let go.
sorry to hear about th hose... glad it was after you got off the track... could have been bad going over 100 mph... i guess this is why it is important to check things over on a regular basis... so how did you finish this year at SIR ?
simon, i won the sportsman class for the second year in a row. just lucky, had some real close races.
