    Hi guys.
Whilst I'm waiting for my suspension gear to arrive I am being annoyed by a leak at the rear of the pwr steering pump from where the line screws in as pictured. I have tried tightening the nuts but no luck, it still weeps. Is this a common issue that has a easy solution? Thread tape or is it a seal? I know some of you will say just go manual steer but money is tight for the Mav at the moment. I have no other leaks in the system apart from this one curiously enough. Everything else is good. Look forward to any suggestions other than changing to manual steer!!:nailbiting:

Problem is likely on back of revesior, probably either the nut is loose(one under bracket) or seal is bad...

Is that seal directly beneath the nut outside of the reservoir or is it inside?

Had a look at the pump and it looks as though thats the design / shape of the rear of the reservoir surrounding the base of the tube. Don't think thats the original shape? Checked the fuel line and the moist area appears to come from tje pump adjacent. Its dry after that to the clamp. While you talk of that line, I replaced it not long ago because the old one was leaking but now it has a crink in it where it changes direction down lower to come up the the pump. No matter how I try I cant make it go away. Looks like it would almost starve the engine of fuel but I haven't had any symptoms of it so far. What's yours look like?

I wud try some thread/Teflon tape on the it, being careful to make sure it only goes on the outside of the threads. I have a reman. Borgsen steering box and have the same issue where the hoses go into the box. I'm going to put some tape, and hope it stops B4 I think about anything else. I believe I has some tape on my recently removed pump on the pressure. I don't see where you have anything to loose.

I'm going to try that as well as a tightening of the first nut. Will advise. Cheers.
