I've used Hurst roll control in the past on other cars.

The only real use for them is doing a smokey burnout and your car not moving, easy to install just have to tap into your front brake lines and install a switch and wiring to activate it. Lots of info on installing it on the web

I use a brand called biondo quite a bit cheaper the hurst and works just as good.

Very easy to install. A button somewhere inside the car, a hot wire, and ground to the chassis.

You will remove one brake line, and install two shorter ones with the solenoid in the middle somewhere.

Here is when I first installed mine back in March 06

I have since cut out the shock towers, moved the mounting location of the line lock, and put more coils in my line to absorb flex and motion and reduce wear on the lines.

I picked up a Hurst Roll Control and a Hurst "T" handle for my shifter that has the thumb button built into it - told the wife it was a parking brake

That's funny that you said it was a parking brake. I was trying to figure out a way to use one as a parking brake...lol... But I think it would not handle having power to it for long term use...

You are correct they will not handle power for a extended period of time. There is such a thing as a mechanical lock that you pump the brakes and flip a lever it locks the fluid in place and brakes on, four wheelers and industrial equipment use it. Not really applicable for cars but could be done

As stated above, not to be used for an extended period of time - I was buying parts like crazy at the time and she took the box from the UPS guy and asked "so what do you need this one for" I panicked and told her parking brake - se liked that I was thinking about safety :rofl2:

Mechanical brake locks should not be used as a parking brake. They will leak down over time. we used them for years on heavy equipment.
