Can someone tell me how to search for a member who's Gallery thumbnail appears in a thread?

The fourth thumbnail in Post #3 in this thread http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=92436 shows an upper radiator hose (no radiator installed) that looks like what I need for my F100 with serpentine belt. I'd like to ask the member what hose it is. I could not find one that looked like that.

That hose is a regular hose being held in place by the radiator mounting, if you look close at it it's forced into that shape.

It does look like it has a kink before the T-stat housing.

Yes, its all distorted but it has the three 90* bends I need. When its straightened out I think it will fit the F100 with serpentine belt. Couldn't find one like that.

hi J. you might just try something like <this>. They also come in cheaper rubber versions too.. but I do know from experience that the cheapy ones won't hold shape like those metal ones and may need a standoff bracket/s to keep them located away from other things that could cause them damage.

Most of my friends who relocate engines and run non-stock engine combos use the blingy stainless ones and they seem to work well. I've also used em' twice now.. but personally don't like any corrugated style hose due to potential fluid flow losses associated with that design.. but the advertised cooling gains do seem valid since they get hotter than hell compared to rubber hoses and burn you much faster due to the added heat exchange.

But sometimes it's the lessor of 2 evils and as usual.. there's going to be pro's and con's. On the other hand.. if you get a stainless one and keep it from vibrating/flexing too much.. it should last longer than the truck itself. lol

    Good luck with it. (y)

I got a stainless universal hose in the right length, with a 45* outlet, from Summit. Had to bush the thermostat housing up from 1.5" to 1.75". So that's what I'll be using for a while, at least.

But, I'd really rather have the molded hose with a 90 degree outlet. To me, the molded hoses just look more put together. Would be different if all the hoses were braided.

I put a comment on the picture in the Gallery and asked if the member knew what hose it was. If I don't hear soon I'll try a PM.
