This is pretty rare indeed! If this is a real Pangra, WOW!!! and it's in my back yard! (about 15 minutes) http://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/cto/3672936800.html
That's pretty cool looking!! My buddy lives there in Ramona I should call him... nah.. I have too many cars as it is.. correction; no room for another.
Good read, all about the Pangra and how it happened. http://www.cookieboystoys.com/vintage%20pinto/pangra.htm
Ramona is where my last project car came from! Bought a '63 Rambler American last September from a guy named Rick McCluskey out there...
To each his own, while it is a piece of automotive history, it sure seems that styles have changed over the years. I prefer the original body lines over the modified pieces, but would love the other mods for an original car. I had a 72 with the 1600 engine that was a ball of fun, one of those cars that I wished I had back.
cool but alot of stuff that made that car (turbo etc) is missing and I would assume impossible to find parts for
wow..pretty cool. I never even knew that car existed. Saw one in Cali at a car show many years ago and just thought it was a one-off custom. I love the aero look.. but I'd be afraid to pop up the lights because they're just so damned ugly.. at least until it was dark enough so no one could see me driving it. Course.. I guess that's what limo style window tint was made for too. lol PS. even more amazing is that they tested that car up to around 200mph at bonneville!
sheesh.. can you imagine what it would be like to get beat by that little thing in your bigger V8 powered car?
