    Hi All,

I'm looking for the "insert" part of a Ford 5 on 4.5" BC steel wheel for a project. Picture this wheel minus the outer "hoop":

The thing is, this inner portion needs to be between 14 1/4" and 14 1/2" diameter. All the ones I've measured are less than 13 1/2". There may be some 16" or 17" steel wheels like (space saver spares) that I haven't found yet that would measure correctly. I have e-mailed a few wheel mfg'ers but haven't heard back yet. Just need one, any ideas appreciated!

    TIA!

I knew it would be a stretch. Could someone measure a 15" wheel for the insert diameter? The wheels I'm going off of are old Rambler 14" rims...

    TIA!

I measured the 16" steel wheels off my Dad's 1999 Crown Vic. The center face, or rim ID is 14-1/4". However, the face of the rim has holes in it, not smooth like the one in your picture. I assume you're looking for a 'stock' style wheel with the hubcap ring around the bolt holes? The Crown Vic wheels would be 1998-2002. These were Ford wheels, not aftermarket.

Thanks Paul. That OD would be perfect but you are right, I'm looking for a 60's style wheel. I may have to settle for something with a different bolt pattern, cut out a Ford center, and stick it together. Won't have to hold up to anything but a vacuum while being processed...
