This thread will follow the build of my wife Lorraine`s 1972 Grabber build.
I bought the car from Frank (71gold) after he rescued it from a salvage yard and I actually drove the car to his house for him.

Frank did some work to the car and then sold it to me on 07/31/11.:Handshake

Lorraine has decided to sell her Fairmont and build the `72 instead.

We have pretty much the entire build planned in our heads , so stay tuned as we make progress.

The car is a Factory 1972 Grabber 4 lug 6 cyl. Auto trans...But That is all about to change!

    A very nice start.

I'll gladly subscribe to another Maverick build.

Looking forward to seeing how it all comes together.

Yes Freddie is doing the work.

He found out that the driver side quarter panel had been rusty and was fiberglassed, and bondoed.

I am taking him a replacement patch panel taken from a parts car.

The first picture is as seen from looking into the trunk, down into the lower quarter.

    More progress

Went by this morning at 7:30 on my way out of town and dropped off the replacement lower quarter panel I had saved from a four door car I parted out years ago...
Then stopped back by at 3:30 on my way back into town...

It wont be lap welded as it is in the pic (he was just getting it fitted),but will get butt welded when it goes on.
