But I broke out with a:bananaman 5.69 at 117.91 :bananaman doing it:D the car had run dead on 5.72's all night in the right lane and I had dialed a 5.71 and went to the 5th round and got stuck in the "faster" lane that's when I broke out against my "teacher" no less. If I had to lose it may as well been against him...I also redlighted.

It was the first time I had ran the car since the rebuild because of my work schedule I got to the track late and I had just enough time for one qualifying pass also a 5.72. I'm pretty happy with the consistency now

I'll post the timeslip tomorrow...toooo tired tonight:)

    Wow! I can't imagine a 1.2 sixty foot.

    I thought I'd dug a trench in the local track when I got a 1.5X 60' once!

    The G-force must feel awsome.

Congratulations on your new Personal Best (if that is - I'm not certain) - either way,
    that's hauling buttocks!

Rick I'm going to Mooresville next weekend for a doorslammer shootout, now that track "hooks" it's where I ran my previous personal best last year as did Stephen Moore. Anything can happen there, my home track is a consistent track but not a fast track as compared to others I've been to.

I think that feeling we racers get in the first 100 feet is the thrill that keeps us racing, you never get used to it, wish I could get a closeup pic of the look on my face coming out of the hole. It probably looks something lke this..

congrats on a new best....first time out to, thats great!

It looks like you 2 would have been in for a heck of a race....
5.66 dialed against a (what should have been 5.6's) thats close competition.
Did he run out the door? Looks like he was a little off his dial.

John he may have peddled it a little at the end when he realized he wasn't gonna catch me, he couldn't close the gap the redlight gave me, I had him by less than half a car length at the traps...it's all good though...he knows it won't be long before I take him to the woodshed:p
I'm gonna join the ranks of the big boys like Don this weekend and get a 1/4 mile pass or two in at Mooresville.
Gonna stay with the same 5.14 gear and just turn the motor about 9500.:16suspect

When I dropped it into 2nd during my first burnout Saturday night I took it up to the limiter chip (9200) shift chip is 7200 or I would have taken it to 9200 in first, I wanted to see how many spectators I could back off the fence :evilsmile

Seriously though my builder told me it could go 10 grand with no problem and to turn it to 9200 on the burnout, if it couldn't take it had no business being in the car, I actually brought a little smoke on that burnout:D

I got no ROOM to talk about anyones weight....hmmm cept maybe Terry's:yup:
