Click on the link (my restoration photos) in my signature and you'll see a set of original Maverick louvers. I think it's in one of the last photos. The louvers are now on the car permanently. The company that made them is out of business but there are still a few sets floating around out there. :) (I went back and placed it on here.)[IMG]

Hey Ray, do the clips that hold the louver on go under the chrome strips? If so, do you have to remove the chrome? I just picked up a set over the weekend. Thanks. Russ

    Russ,

If your set is like the set I have, the clips slide under the chrome
and rubber gasket and hook on the edge of the glass themselves.
The gasket holds them in place. When I removed the set I have
from the car they were on, I just gently placed a putty knife beside
them on the car and lifted up till the clip came free. No chrome
removal required. I would figure they could be put on the same way.
It only required lifting the gasket about 1/8" at the most. Hope this
    helps you out.
Rays set may be the same or not, not sure. The company that
manufactured the set I have was South Co. out of New Jersey.
I can't find anymore info on them than that.

I looked at Rays picts. and mine look the same. I got them off of the mav that was on e-bay a few weeks ago(blue with yellow fenders) The guy bought the car for the engine and trans, and didn't want the louvers so I bought them off of him for $40.00  I had a trip planned in his area and with a little help from a friend I managed to pick them up without shipping:clap: Just one more thing to add to the collection of "differant" Maverick stuff.

I think most of us are destined to never have a set of Maverick Louvers ... I would like a set of my Yellow car ... Congrats on the find ...
