Louvers

I bet there is already a thread about it but I MUST have louvers for my 73 Comets back glass.

Any suggestions as the where this object of my desire can be found?

I think louvers look hideous on Mavericks, but to each his own...

 

they look good on every other fast back type car ive seen em on. im not really a fan of thw 1/4 window vents though.

 

There was a guy on e-bay selling a while back .It was discussed here so do a search and maybe you can find the link.

Super rare aftermarket part. JCWhitney used to sell them many years ago. 2 or 3 folks here on the board have a set (like Ray Parrish). Somebody on eBay did hand build a custom set and was trying to sell them on eBay for big $$$$. He did not sell any as far as I know.

 

Louvers compliment fastback styling. I always liked them. Hope you find some.

I remember JC Whitney had a lot of good stuff 10 or so years ago. I remember the louvers.

 

I've only seen one other set in person other than the ones I have, although I believe there are a couple of other people on board that have a set. They are very hard to find. I lucked up and found mine on eBay about 3 years ago. Good luck in your quest to find a set.

p.s. I think I have blueprints on them somewhere if you decide to try and make a set. Would not be an easy task but very possible.

 

idk what they had back then but it seems like alot of cheap china-made crap nowadays
