How do you remove the metal trim strip that runs near the bottom of the dash without denting it?

On the underside of the dash (Back) there are some clips that hold the trim on. Take a pair of pliers and squeeze the clips while pulling on the trim. I have my dash out right now so it was pretty easy. You will probably have to have some one help you with this. The bottom of your dash (the plastic peace either glove box or the tray type) needs to come off. It will make it alot easier.

You can work a screwdriver under the trim and pop them out too. Just pry on the clips and not the trim.
