lower hinge cogs...

    Hey Fellas, I got the pins and bushings from auto krafters to do all 4 pins on a two door 76... What I couldn't find is the "cogs" that roll against the spring to keep the door open.. mine seem to be really worn.. anyone replace those or have any insight.. pics of the passenger side "cogs"

    I don't know about changing them. In your picture they don't look too bad. Can't see the rod wear in that picture very good. The rod is what often will get cut into if they were in a car that nobody lubed properly. I've seen rods cut half way through already.

    Get some PB Blaster or similar product on them until they spin freely again. Might be able to save what you have. An expirenced welder could fill back in any worn part of the rod if it is really bad.

    Those never had a lot of "tooth" to them, As long as you can get them to turn when they're against the spring you should be fine.
