talked to my friend that builds race cars yesterday. he said he got a call from another customer that has a tube frame chassis and now bought a maverick. guess he wants to put the maverick body on the chassis. after he cuts out all the floor pans and other stuff he said i could come and get anything i wanted. we'll see whats left over and is good.
im looking for a drivers side front pan p.s. were you put your feet! ill pay up to $40 for it in good shape an if the size is right!
if your lucky and its an older maverick you'll be able to get all the small bumber stuff too. iam sure all thats going to go just to save weight
just went over to his shop. i told him all about the roundup. his first words when i finished talking were "you're going back next year". and it wasn't a question. the guy brought the maverick to him. it's the most solid looking car i've seen. the floorboards are perfect. he's going to come by my house and look at my car to measure where to cut. also the guy brought him another set of fenders to use. i don't know why cause these are solid, and another set of small bumpers. he said i could have everything he dosen't use.
if you wernt in arizona i know where one sprint sits whight and baby blue and all its got solid floors a new engine bay! new 73 bumpers and a rear spoiler! pluss a killer black original int! but the body has a lot of fiberglass and the hood had a cinderblock droped onit from the top of his garage! he sead he wants $500 for it! and i know the int and spoiler are worth that much!!!!!! but i dont have room or time! i didnt know it was a sprint untell i seen one on this site!
well it looked like somebody freshly painted the doors! it was a half way restored car when i looked at it! people dont know how to keep cars original around hear! did they make blue and whight grabbers that look like sprints! it had a smooth regular mav hood with a grabber 'u' shaped decal on it!
