Mag rims from a 77 Trans Am on a Mav??

    i don't have time to find this out for myself (a couple of hours to be exact) so if anyone knows off hand if i can put a set of 14inch rims off of a 77 Trans Am on my 73 Mav with front disk brakes conversion..

    Anything is possible if you have fabrication skills. But the bolt pattern is different and they will not simply bolt onto your car.

    no you cant just bolt them on. the trans am has bolt patern of 5 x 4 3/4 and the mav has a pattern of 5 x 4 1/2.

    ah. that's what i was thinking. the person selling them couldn't tell me the bolt pattern for sure was 4 and 3/4. thanks guys!

    If they're aftermarket(14s on a T/A) they may be unilug which means they would probably fit.I though all '77 T/As had something like 15x7s stock?

    '72 Maverick, 347 c.i., w/ dual quads, TKO 600 5-speed transmission, back halved w/ 4-link, '16 F150, 5.0 Coyotte, regular cab, shortbed, lowered 3/5 & 1-owner '79 Trans Am.
    As an original (and current) owner of a '79 T/A I can testify to the 5 on 4 3/4" bolt pattern. The Snowflakes came in two widths - 15 x 7 and 15 x 8.
