    this is a two part post...
    1st...what are some of the paints/coatings to put on a master cyl. that will stay? :yup:
    2nd...i still have the...drum/drum...master cyl. on my car. didn't i read where i can change to a ...man.disc/drum...master cyl.? :yup:

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    If it is new....I would just put some diamond clear on it from Eastwood.

    If it is old......maybe some Detail Grey from Eastwood.

    What are you going to use for Brake Fluid? the old standard? or Silicone? Maybe try some Por15 Metal Mask, it'll give it that bare metal look..

    I would assume powder coating would hold up. I have yet to see paint hold up to Brake Fluid. Chrome Plating should as well.....

    "Power drum/drum"?? What Maverick ever came with "power" drum brakes?.

    I believe that a '74 master cylinder is a direct bolt-in...line fittings & everything. I have a '75 on mine, but had to re-flare the short lines from the distribution block with the correct-size fittings...
