Matte to gloss?

    My buddies 68 duster is flat black right now. Is it possible to buff it out so it gets a shine?
    I cant seem to find any previous posts or other forums where somebody might have tried this. We'll probably test it this week and ill post a pic. Let me know!

    Yes you can...but the gloss will not last. I am sure it will fade out.

    Back in "the day" kids around here would do what we called "Kentucky Paint Jobs". Take your basic maroon primer, spray......then buff. A thing of beauty for about a month.

    Couldn't you just spray a clear coat over it to make it shine?

    We were leaning towards more of a budget shine I think. Clearcoat shouldnt be much anyways Id expect.
