    hey i have a problem with my electrical when i turn my car off it doesnt want to start again a clicking noise occurs i changed the alternator the voltage regulator checked my battery and changed the starter my alt light stays on and my turn signals dont work or they work slowly can someone help me when i put battery cables to my battery it starts up

    Sounds like solenoid switch is bad. Cheap, so get one and give it a try. Hope this helps.

    Poor battery connections, or weak battery would be my first guess. How did you check the battery? Make sure you have good grounds from the battery, to the base of the voltage regulator, to the engine block. Make sure the battery connections themselves are clean.

    Mine did same thing. I have a 70. It melted the Pos. battery cable right off when it went out all the way. Not to good of a thing.. I replaced it I think it was no more then 10 dollars. I got a new battery cable also. Fixed the problem and starts right up. Hopefully everything works out.

    hey thanks

    thanks guys i took my battery in and got it tested and it is fine i bought new cables for the battery and i am waiting for an external wiring harness for the regulator .there is a small round looks like a fuse belowe the voltage regulator that broke off can anyone tell me what that is .i will buy a new selenoid to see if it works but i did take it off and test it on another battery and i clicked over but for twenty bucks it cant hurt to have another one hopefully this works i love my mav even though all my friends think it is ugly as sin but what do they know they all drive yuppy mobiles and chevs
