I am working on a technical article about seat belts that came in our cars and I need a little help:

    1. Has anybody seen style A in any other year but 1970? Maybe some early 1971 cars had this style of belt?

    2. 1975...what style of belts did they have. If you have a 1975 and can report back to me...I would really appreciate it. I have only ever had ONE 1975 and I don't have any pictures of the belts in it.

    Thank you.

    Craig-
I have a pic of a '69.5 car with style A-all blue interior, belts too.
I looked at the pics of my '69, my front seatbelts appear to be
aftermarket replacements. The rear belts...I don't have pics of
those. The gold belt is there, but I can't see the buckle in the pics.
The front belts are black universal looking jobs.

D or E are what I have in the '74 Comet.

My '71 Grabber has style A in the back and style B in the front. I can get pics if necessary.

What about the 73's that had the removable shoulder belt? The one end is different than any posted.

Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
i concour but i would need to look at it in person when i get home or when i feel like uncovering the car that has 3 covers on it! lol!

craig here is a photo... not very big though! craig you actually sent me the other side of the belt for this car remember?

also might it be possiable that a bucket seat may have a differant one then a bench?

73s are the red headed step child! everyone forgets about it. but your right it is the only one that has that style belt! again why 73 should be worth more then any other maverick!

first change of dash! (well that is if it isn't a left over 72) unique front bumper to that year only! i think first year of LDO right? and now seat belts! ha ha ha!!!!

I think that would be style C but I cropped off that part of the picture.

I don't need any more pictures of the belts...thanks guys.

I am mainly interested in lap belt style on the last two styles.....as the buckles are the same. Look at the picture and see the difference. I would really like to know what a 1975 had.

I know this isn't what you asked but thought it might help somehow nail down a date. My 71 F100 ( which has a build date of Dec. 1970) has the A style except the outer part of the buckle is chrome. Might help if not ignore me. lol

Craig, this is from a 75 Mav I parted out - had the same style as D but they were black vinyl coated not shiny chrome.
