Well ... SMS pulled through ... their records show they have the exact material for 1971 Ford Maverick Comfortweave ... Now I just gotta have my upholstery guy tell me how much to order .... Here is the sample ...
I bought 3 yards of the blue material from them, for my Sprint. Thats was plenty to do the buckets, back seat, rear shelf, and door panels. The blue was just short of $70 a yard.
Thanks ... I'm gonna take the seats down in the morning to get measured so I know exactly how much I need ..
comfort weave hey dan he looked today and said he's not sure where it is but i'm going to take a seat to him tomorrow so he can ck his sources did you find out how much you need?
Never mind ... took the seats this morning and got them measured. He said the comfortweave inserts on the two buckets and rear could be done with 2 yards worth of material. I ordered it from SMS this morning .... Thanks ...

I brought the NOS sample with me to compare ... the repop looks like crap and not even close to the original. I showed it to the salesperson who had never seen real comfortweave either and he was equally unimpressed with the quality of the repop ...
how do we order the material? Is this the same material I have in the center of my '71 Grabber's seats?
According th SMS this is the correct material for 1971 Maverick inserts .. Could you post a close up of your seats? http://www.smsautofabrics.com/ There is a Nova interior in line before my seats but my upholstery guy said he should be starting on them this week. Says it's about 4 days worth of work to complete the two buckets and the rear bench ...
i got a sample from them as welll and the material looks good...but it is really pricey...there is a place locally that i can get the material for up to $65 a yard.... and i think that was for leather
