On another thread, we were discussing the different grills used in Mavericks through it's lifetime. Here's a list I put together.

'70-'72 argent grill with center medallian
'70 black grill with center medallian - used on '70 Grabber and '72 Sprint
'71-'72 black Grabber grill with clear driving lights
'72 chrome faced LDO grill with clear driving lights
'73-'74 argent grill with orange turn indicators
'75 argent grill with clear (no color) turn indicators
'73-'75 black grabber grill with orange turn indicators (chrome bezels around the indicators)
'73-'75 chrome faced LDO grill (did this go all the way to '75?)
'76 black Stallion grill with black indicator bezels and divider bar
'76-'77 standard black grill with argent indicator bezels and divider bar

The headlight bezels matched the grill. Please add or correct things on the list. I don't know the minor changes of the Comet grills as well. If someone could post that information, it would be helpful.

I parted out a 75 that had a black grille and center bar . The last one on your list marked 76-77.

    Nice reference info ........ :thumbs2:

had to have been changed at some point. the 'center bar' grille didnt come out untill '76..... but hey, my '73 4dr had a grabber grille in it that still had the factory plastic tabs holding it in so obviously, it had to have been changed EARLY in it's life

Makes sense - cause I could tell from frame welding that the car had been in an accident at some point in it's life. Probably used junkyard parts in the repair.

You know where I stand from the other thread.

1975 2 door with Halo option and sport mirrors, non-Grabber, black interior.
Factory (got it from original owner) black grille and black trimmed headlight bezels. Black bezels on the turn signals, non-amber turn signals, and chrome Maverick grille emblem with red trim. Deluxe bench interior.

Therefore, it would seem that, at least in 75, one of the appearance packages gave you a black grille and bezels.
The mirrors, Halo, or deluxe bench interior... one or all, is/are probably related to whatever package gave the black grille.

It sounds like there was a package. And I TOTALLY forgot to include the Maverick grill emblems in my list!
