The four-door station, 15 specimens were manufactured by "Ford concessionaire Sousa Ramos" Brazil has never existed in the U.S.. Since I doubt that Brazil had always been there such a Maverick in the U.S.??
No Maverick wagons are known to exist in the US. There were talks on here about importing one several years ago, but I believe the cost was prohibitive. Oh, and to the board!
Are you kidding me,................ let's see, win the lotto,.......... with no money problems i bring up 2 Maverick stationwagons, one beat the other in as good condition as possible. Strip both down, completely restore the good one just as they were made with a nice 302 and a Grabber hood and a nice set of classic rims. The other beat up basket case, make into a 2-door, add Comet taillights, lower it, air bags just for lowering as need be, Grabber hood, nice 460 stuffed into it, 17'' rims, fill all the extra windows, i'm thinking a nice Ford blue and a tiny fin on the back of the roof and last black interior. Now when you go to the shows, try to find another one, you will have the only one for sure!!!!!! Wow that would be a dream come true........ one Comrick, one Maverick station wagon restored to original and one Maverick/ Comet 2 door wagon beast. Only if i could, one can only dream.
And friends do not know how this classic was not done in the USA i am sure that there would be a success here in Brazil only 15 units that did that today is a myth here for collectors.
