Maverick Rear end Question

    Were all of the Mavericks an 8" rear ends or was there some using the 9". If so which models do I look for to get the 9"? :hmmm:

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    None came from the factory with a 9" early ones did however come with a 7.5" integral carrier rear axle.(has a bolt on cover on the beck like a GM rear axle)

    Thanks a friend told me all Mavericks were 8" but I have bought 3 of them in the last couple years and they all were 8".

    Its a good rear end.performance parts/gear ratios are limited though.They will take alot of abuse.

    My 69.5 came with that little 7.5 rear - I couldn't get it out from under the car fast enough. :dancing:
