Maverick Rear End

Can't remember when they switched to the 8" rear. There is a 71 6cylinder parts car available in the area and need to know if it was the 8" rear or the smaller 7.5" (I think that was the size). Thanks.

 

it would be an 8"....but it would be a 4-lug.

 

Thanks Craig, I need the housing only so the 4 lug shouldn't matter, correct?

 

The 4-lug has a different taper at the end of the axles....so it will not work for a 5-lug set-up.

if we are talking about the center "pig"...they are the same.

 

The other size was a 7.25"...not 7.5"
