Same car......minus the grandma hubcaps and grocery getter whitewalls. New Raised White Letter tires and rims painted body color (they do match the car...just don't look like it in this picture for some reason). Touched off with the poverty caps for that "sleeper" look. More work to come as the transformation continues from "little ole lady car" to street machine "looks" on a budget.
The orange one? Where are you on the other one that you have been working on? By the way, I received the info that you sent me. Thanks for that and I will be in touch. Seth
Actually......TODAY.....for the very first time since bringing it home from the body shop a year ago....I turned the first wrench on the orange car....today!!! I removed, cleaned up and lubricated the door latches, and installed the outside door handles. Makes it easier to get in and out I suppose. I then spent the rest of the day working on putting the sub-woofer behind the rear seat. Got the particle board cut, now need to paint it, cover with carpet, then mount it to the car. Oh well...at least it is progress!!!
Very nice, Craig. Are we going to get a glimpse of this one in Carlisle? Or are you bringing the "family truckster"?
Your Mav looks great Craig! Of course I like the poor man hubcap color cordinated wheels. LOL. I prefer the yellow over my color. Is that the original color?
Craig, The "Family Truckster" is something to behold! Did you ever get it to "diesel" after turning the key off like they did in the movie? 8) For the finishing touch, you may want to re-do the front so you can have those 8 headlights like Chevy Chase did! Wonder what kinda battery & alternator you'd need for that? hehehehehe Nice car! Tracy
