Second points race of the year, Mavman and the alcohol injected Maverick took the win over some 50+ cars. Car was awesome and his reaction times were in the five teens to twenties range. After adding a anti roll bar and new adjustable coil over shocks, to the four link rear suspension, was not sure of the launch attitudes. Seems he did his homework on the settings and went straight and carried the front wheels well past 60ft. As the track changed, he made an adjustment to the suspension again and realized a 1.30 60ft time on worn out 31.5 x 14 Goodyears. Don't have the time slips to give full details but the final round against a 67 Cuda, the Mav runs a 7.95 1000ft Et. Nice payout too, but still will not cover the cost of the new slicks that are needed, but the friendship of fellow racers, satisfaction of building the car and engine, are all that really matters in the long run. His is one of two Mav's that regularly race at our track and over the last 14 years, both have won many races and points chases.

I myself, had a pretty good day also, went to the quarter finals again with the Mont. Same senario, car ran perfect( after changing a broken rocker arm found while running the valves the previous day). Driver reaction times still suck, did put out a GM car with a .534, the 1000ft times were awesome for the little 331. From the three time trials to the quarter final round went like this. 9.03, 9.04,9.04, 9.04, 9.04, 9.01, 9.00 and the breakout of 8.98 on a 9.00 dial in. Consistent 1.45-6 60's. Would sure like to have went to the finals and raced my son for the bragging rights, but with his RT's, probably would have got spanked. Youngest son ran the Stang, and was running 9.20's with the 302. Won a couple of rounds and then he also broke out with a 9.215 on a 9.22 dial. Best thing about the whole deal is I got to be with my boys, doing what we enjoy, together. What more could a dad ask for, in his golden years.

How do you post video? I have been looking at digital video camcorders for a while now. Any suggestions?

    Todd,
I'll reinstall my video card w/ the video in, or I'll sell it to you if you want it.
You can put in Svideo, or cable and something else i think, and run a sound wire from the card to you soundcard. Works good
I've got some video of my old truck and the mustang when it was primered.
But no sound because I didn't know you had to have a sound cable on there.
    Very easy to do.
I gotta get a new sound card right now tho, my on board one took a crap on me
But anyways, its not hard to do
