Do you ever wonder if we're all working on the same kind of car? I've done some looking on the forum for header fitment so I know what many people are using. My hedmann 88400 shorties (which have been used by people on the forum) went in slick as a whistle. However, I won't be making a left turn any time soon as the pitman arm cuts across about 2 inches below the collector. WTH?

It takes a little finess to get a pipe up in there. I seem to recall an "ear" on the tranny bellhousing that needs to be cut-off for more pipe clearance.

Whew! I'd sure like to see a finished install pic. I don't see how these could work. Maybe I'll remove my pitman arm....who needs to turn? They're old headers from another project so I'm not out anything. Ironically they're from the last time I swapped to a t5 because my hookers wouldn't fit with the cable clutch. Those were probably the 6901's. Unfortunately I scrapped them. Lots of people seem to be using the hookers. Old Henry didn't secretly change every third Mav. on the assembly line I hope.

They will work. I had them on my car. I had some pictures and a thread posted on here about it.

Thanks, Craig. I shimmed up my trans. so I don't have much more space before the t-5 hits the tunnel. It's still blocked quite a bit, but I'm starting to see how it might work with a bit of tweaking.

Thanks. There's hope. I'll finish the engine/trans. conversion and take it to the muffler shop.

Here's what I did with my headers. I still measured wrong and had to ding the driver's side. I decided to change the pass. side while I was at it.
