There were 2 Mavericks at the Pacific Street Car Association race last weekend, me and another guy. I lost in 2nd round by redlight (again). Got my new best 1/4 time, but still a tenth off my best 1/8. Best was 11.26 @121mph w/ 1.68 60'. The other Maverick was running about 11.0. Here's a few shots of us leaving the line...

Nice! I love the stock style hub caps on the blue car. How close was your red light.

Yeah, I love that look too.

My red light was -.024 I think. I must have been too deep or something. I need to practice deep staging to consistently get into the sweet spot. I'm leaving off of a 2-step footbraking now which works pretty good. If anyone has any advice on deep staging, let me know.

Are hubcaps allowed on the track?

Both are good looking cars...but something is wrong with the front suspension...they ride WAY too high :D

That blue car looks familiar, I think i saw it out at LACR (Los Angeles County Raceway) last month... Talked to the guy and told him to seach Maverick Message Boards into GOOGLE, and join the ranks!

Yeah, he's a regular there I think. There have been pics of his car on here before. I told him to check out maverick.to also.

I asked him about the hubcaps and he said almost every track has allowed them except a few.

Don, hope you can make it to one or more...maybe one in AZ or Vegas.
