My delima is that I want to bring my car and pieces to see if I can get help putting some things together. I am unable to drive the whole way there and back by myself. I get sleepy and don't want to put people in danger. The wife refuses to drive pulling a trailor. If it sounds like I could get help then I will give it my best to drive. That will require that we stay a night somewhere on the way there and also on the way back. THEN there is a stop to get a hood from CometGT1974 which I think is another 4-5 or 6 hrs further... So, do I pack some tools? :D

That.s what I was thinking. Leave hoodless and come back with one on. Not sure if it needs the latch or pins..

Man I'm just going to miss this. I'm scheduled to be home the 15th or shortly there after.....
Is this a one time a year event or will I have another chance this year?

Fair enough I'll have to catch it next year. I guess on the bright side that gives me one whole year of progress to be made on the car before showing her off to people who actually know what there looking at ha ha

The nice thing about the Gathering is that most of the meals are being provided. Hahn brothers are supplying the woodoven pizza on Wednesday night, Thursday nights meal is by the Somerset Cruise team, And Saturday BBQ is being provided also. All the breakfasts are included in the motel price which is a very reasonable $69 per night.
