I just recieved a set of Summit gauges to replace the non op SW ones, for now. My question is. Does the probe at the end or the wire lock into place if I simply bolt the nut in? Seems like it would just fall into the head and I lose coolent. The old SW temp gauge has an electric temp sending unit thats one threaded part instead of 2.. The engine is an inline 200. Thanks guys

That probe does not thread directly into the motor. There is a fitting that goes in first, then the probe gets threaded into the fitting.
