mine is galvanived is yours???

    that be the front cross member...:yup:
    i was sanding the bottom frame snouts and got to the cross member and when i hit it with the wire brush it was galvanized. the paint came right off. i am looking for a primer that you (i) can put on galvanized metal...:huh:
    the ...rust-oleum primer...i am useing said not to use on galvanize..
    i had a painter tell me today to use vingar. he said wash the metal with it and let it dry and then prime and paint.:yup:
    anyone have any info. on the subject??? :huh:

    wipe the galvanized down with vinegar, it'll neutralize the coating so you can prime and paint over it

    I agree on the vinegar and water, it alsoworks fantastic when spraying your garage door when etching the aluminum
