Mini Meet sugestion ! ( Georgia)

Ok this is just a suggetion and is open to everyones input...

How about planning to get together at Fun Ford Weekend in Commerce Ga. (Atlanta dragway) April 16-18 2004 ?

Its in a really central location for everyone from the southeast
and they will have an all ford swap meet,Drag racing , and Manufacturers midway.

Just off the top of my head I`d say we could easily have at least 6 or 8 Mavericks and Comets show up.

    What do you all think?

Sounds good to me...I may just have my latest project ready by then (just another 71 Grabber...#4). Atlanta is close enough to me that I just might be able to make my first mini-meet. Let's get it going.

Ray, the Grabber #4 project, will it be the Grabber you were trying to sell a while back or different one? Just curious, because I remember seeing the pics, and I know it would truely be a project for someone, but nice to see it saved.

Dave...it will be a different car. I just purchased this one from a guy that has been racing it so it has a lot of goodies (4:30 9" posi, Centerlines, subframe connectors, fuel cell, rear mount battery, and a few more goodies you'd see on a drag car) on it less the engine and tranny. I'm going ahead and disassembling the body and stripping the paint off since his backyard paintjob was a little nasty looking. I'm not going to try to make it into a show car but a nice little hot rod I can drive every day. It'll be sharp but I'll put my show car efforts into my Grabber Green car that I've had for 30 years. I already have the drive train to install in it but have to get the body ready first. I'll post pictures as I get it going and keep you guys updated.
Oh yeah, I already told the wife to get ready for Atlanta so let's get that mini-meet going.

I doubt it. Thats a little too far for me. About a 8 hr trip one way. Too much for a weekend show. I'd like to get this news letter to the printers by the end of the week so let me know as soon as possible on the mini-meet.
