moldings around the windows

    You all know the metal molding around the windows , well behind it is all rusted out . im looking to do the whole car but need to know what im going to do about this. I want to take them off grind down the rust , bondo , then i was thinking of having the metal peices refabricated for reinstall .
    anyone know who might do that sort of thing.

    Are you talking side windows, or front & rear windscreen?

    someone help

    K well i guess noone knows . just to be clear it is the molding around the driver pass windows and the rear 1/4 windows molding im looking to take off and replace. ne one plz help there is a lil rust behind them and they need to me ground down ne takers

    Are you talking about the drip rail moldings? The little "gutters" above your windows?

    yes it is as well as the bottom part of the window.

    I believe your talking about all the stainless trim that surrounds the side windows. It is removable but you have to take great care. Pull the channel weather stripping out. (The stuff that the window seals into when in the up position) Then take a small screw driver and hammer, start at one end and tap the edge of the trim that was covered by the channel weather stripping. Work your way to the other side. For the rear side windows, they are everywhere and it would be much easier to find a better set and just replace them.
