I haven't seen them in years. A friend had a set on his El Comino and they were all cracked at the bolt holes. Monoque said to bad, they were never intended for the street.

I think they went out of business and Bogart stepped in!! Basically the same style wheel.

acutally i never saw anyone with them out this way thats why i wanted them! sick of seeing Drag stars and Super Lights. Nothing wrong with those but been there done that.. in fact my Weld Wheels (cragar, not weld racing) still say Bob Glidden on them! (y)

hum thats what they get for not sponsoring my car! :D they gave me a bad time about it... okies if they don't what there stuff on TV and in 3 magazines then screw them! i bet they went doh! :slap: after they saw it :p

but i was looking at the bogarts too.. again just want something differant. either those or the Weld Racing Magnums.. you know the ones with the gold centers!

think they are too faddy? i know the gold was in back in the 70's the super lites and the pro stars always stand the test of time but there are just to many people out there with them! anything else out there you've seen besides those or centerlines? i'm talking race wheel.

I would suggest just calling Bogart, they are very nice people to work with and they could make you a custom wheel with a unique style center section!

But, they say not to run there wheels on the street......I do know people that run there stuff on the street but I don't think you would want to do a TON of street driving!! If you want the lightest drag rim available go with a set of Bogarts and never look back!!! They make the lightest rims on the planet!!!!!!!!!!!!!(y)

The problem with drag wheels is that they will not take the side loading that street driving has. Centerline is smart enough to know (after a recall in the '70) that this stuff hits the street and they can't defend against street use of their products.

Dennis, no these were not a left coast thing. They were a very expensive for the time great looking drag race wheel that was super light weight.

yeah i know these thing are not supposed to be ran on the street.. very stong wheel in the up and down motion but left to right, right? even some light weight wheels that are made for the street still don't really hold up either. i use to have 14x7 weld racing superlites on the front of my car and use to take corners like there was no corner :D well they basicly over time they got bent!

again i just want something differant... i hardly drive that car on the streets these days anyways.... and beside its not like it can corner hard with 15x5s on the front with no swaybar :D i wanna start redoing my car soon since the other one is almost done... well its never really done :D but you get the point! anyone hear about those Weld Racing Magnums i was meantioning about? those for off road use only too?
