Went with the white primer this time. Got the passenger side trim holes sealed, removed a ding or two, removed the 1/4 panel pin stripe, smoothed and primed. I'll be spraying it yellow Sunday morning and then that will complete both the interior and exterior transformation of the car! :bananaman Still waiting on delivery of the hood stripe though. Then the new engine goes in over Thanksgiving ....
Looking good. You are truly a rattle can master EFI, I think he has automotive paint color matched and put into rattle cans. I think it mentions it in the thread where he painted his grabber hood.
It is lookin awsome from what you started with. It looked good when you started, but it is lookin real good as a different Mav. A full body makeover (plastic surgery)if you will. I must have missed it somewhere before. What engine is coming out and then going in:confused:
I can't find a paint shop around here that will do that! DM, I think it is amazing how well it matches. The paint on the car is fairly old and to match the new paint is quite a challenge. Didn't see the post on the hood!
Cool ... it is starting to look more like the car in my signature ... which is just a mock-up of my final goal.
Maybe you missed the question at the end. I understand though. I would be all excited also.:bananaman
Oh ... I missed it .... It's a Freshly rebuilt 1978 250. Going with a chrome and red combo. Anything that was Ford blue is gonna be Ford red. Gonna black out the engine compartment which is currently body color ...
