Its funny when im driving around town, excpecally the SMALL town i live in outside of San Antonio. I always have young people asking me "What kind of car is that, That COOL!" or ill be driving down a road and ill get alot of waves or thumbs up.. Its nice having the ONLY Maverick in town. Well actually i know where another maverick is and a comet (Owned by the smae man) is but the maverick is a RUST BUCKET and he wanted $1500.00 for it because the 6cyl was rebuilt and has no miles on the rebuild, only thing is.. its been sitting for 10 years w/o starting it! So hes crazy! the comet dont look to bad, but ive NEVER EVER seen it move either.

Yep I get it from the young guys all the time. You should see the heads turn when I drop my kids off at high school. Had a few guys approach to find out what it is and whats in it. I guess it sounds impressive compared to the parking lot full of ricers and lowered trucks. That parking lot is a far cry form when I went to that school. Had some pretty nasty muscle cars and my first Mav(barely streetable) in it compared to all the import oversized wheel clone cars as I call them.(they all look the same)

my school had a guy with a LS6 Chevelle, 66 mustang fastback 2+2 289 car. My buddie had a nissan Z with a SBC in it. There was another guys with a BBC el camino.

Justin, I don't know much about the old Mopars other than I like a lot of them. What is that dark blue Mopar a GTX? Like I said I can't name them by looking at them most times.
Sure is a nice looking car though. I would be more than proud to drive that car.
Got a pal that had a Cuda for a while I helped him on. Now he has a Duster.
He has put gobs of money in both of them but they were both top of the line when he was done with them. He likes building them. Once done he gets bored and sells the,

The first time I heard "That car is sh*t!" passing by some teenagers; I glared back at the punk with a cocked eyebrow...

... turn out it was a compliment. They were smiling and gave some me some variation on "hang loose" and a Spock's Vulcan Salute (???). I'm more accustomed to 'cool' and personally prefer 'groovy'.

Another group of teens at a bus stop thought it was a Mustang.

I said thanks and never corrected him.

Lots of other guys my age are asking the year and guess right at "seventy two or seventy three'ish"?
