wonder if this would work on the speedometer lens, mine is pretty bad. http://www.mothers.com/02_products/07250.html
http://www.autokrafters.com/v4/go.g...roducts&show_product_id=560011&product=160420 I've got a couple kits of headlight restorer. I might also give it a try on the instrument cluster lens.
That is good info...I don't need lenses but always good to know they are avail. As far as the headlamp restore kits, they are great for headlamps. I did my F-150 and they look new. But for the price of a kit, I would just get new lenses for the inst. panel.
I have used the kit that you use on a drill to clean up the lights on my daughter's 96 Mustang once or twice. It makes them look better but I find it only lasts for a couple of months before getting yellow and foggy again. I just re-clean them clint
Get a better kit. I used one from BG Products last year and mine still look great. Or maybe her lights are too far gone. It seems to me the some headlamp housings have surface deterioration and others have a sort of crackling in the plastic. Once the plastic itself screws up...there ain't much saving them.
I've never heard of anyone successfully polishing out the gauge cluster lens. It's like the plastic goes bad all the way though. New one is the way to go.
In this episode they used mothers rubbing compound to polish the lens.... 4:44 http://www.spike.com/full-episode/daily-driver-c-10/33883 but if they're available new why bother
